Libraries Wales' logo competition

I went for a logo design that strongly represented Wales, while maintaining its correlation with a library and its primary resource.
The logo is an open book, half book - half dragon wing, ascending. The dragon wing represents, and is inspired by, the welsh dragon. The logo is supported by a vivid, exciting red to further establish Libraries Wales’ confidence and location.
The purpose of this logo is to show that Libraries wales goes ‘above and beyond’ to provide both physical and digital resources for people all over Wales.
