I'm Summer, a Caribbean Graphic Designer born and raised in South Wales, UK. Growing up, I've always been invested in how we visually communicate to the world, exhibiting deeper meanings and messages to audiences through the use of typography, colour theory and shapes.
I studied Graphic Design at college (A-Level) and university (BA (Hons)), and thoroughly enjoyed learning about creative processes that can propell a business visually, financially and socially.
As I grew in confidence as a young designer at university, I entered many competitions and went on to win GOLD at the Creative Conscience Awards in 2023, and was shortlisted for the 2022 Creative Conscience Awards and 2022 Libraries Wales logo competition for my work on independent campaigns and Logo design.
After graduating from UWTSD, Swansea College of Art, I soon moved to London to pursue my professional career as a designer. Since then, I have been continually working on my craft, improving as a young designer, and establishing my presence within the creative industry.
Since then, I've ventured into different hobbies to keep my independent creative heart beating. Due to music being one of the core aspects of my life, I began learning how to DJ and started creating my own remixes (inspired by the Jersey Club genre). I'm also an avid concert go'er and love being around people that are also committed to having a good time!
I'm an individual that thrives when stepping out of the comfort zone, and with that being said, I'm excited about my future and the unknown, as I build my foundation.
